James LeRoy Davis was charged with the crime of attempted robbery in the first degree, RCW 9A.56.200(1)(b) and RCW 9A.56.190, while armed with a deadly weapon, RCW 9.95.040, i.e., a firearm, RCW 9.41.025. A jury found the defendant guilty as charged and returned special verdicts that he was armed with a deadly weapon, a firearm. The trial court entered judgment and sentence on the defendant's conviction of attempted robbery in the first degree, but struck the deadly weapon and firearm allegations. The trial court subsequently sentenced the defendant to life imprisonment pursuant to the habitual criminal statute, RCW 9.92.090. The defendant appeals.
